Our story, rooted in calm craft
Since 2014, Radiantwood Clayworks has offered a quiet sanctuary where Nordic simplicity meets the meditative rhythm of clay. Every class invites stillness, presence, and the quiet joy of making by hand.
Mission
We teach mindful sculpting so people can slow down, listen to their hands, and create objects that carry warmth into everyday life. Our studio exists to nurture patience, clarity, and respect for material.
Values
- Calm — steady pace, no rush
- Clarity — every step explained simply
- Respect — for clay, for tools, for each other
- Generosity — space to experiment and finish at your own speed
Timeline
A single wheel and four students in a converted barn in northern California.
“Quiet Forms” — six-week evening classes that became our signature offering.
We moved our teaching online while the studio remained a place for small in-person groups.
A purpose-built, daylight-filled space that honours Scandinavian minimalism and natural materials.
Over 2,400 students have passed through our doors, each leaving with more than a vessel — they leave with a quieter mind.
